This record has not got the reviews it deserves I think. This is summer, this is delightful, this is Goldfrapp at its best. Love it.

Today (19th of may) the selection “A Skin, A Night” is released. It’s a behind-the-scenes sort of thing of The National.

From the press-release:
“Completing the package, a bonus CD, The Virginia EP, features b-sides, demos, a session track, live tracks (including “Fake Empire”, which recently won Song Of The Year at NYC’s 2008 Plug Awards, and a sumptuous cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Mansion On The Hill”) plus one new studio recording, a cover of Caroline Martin’s “Without Permission”.

I haven’t seen the film, but the music is nice. Nice but not revolutionary since it’s mainly old stuff. I look forward to hear of The National sound like after Boxer, so this release is more sort of a “in-between-records-fill”.

The demo “Rest of years” is probably the best track. I also like the live preformance of “Fake Empire” and the demo of “Slow Show”.

Ah! I’ve been waiting for this record to get to Norway. He’s one of my favoutite lo-fi men, right beside Will Oldham and Sam Beam. This record is very nice. Still – not as good as the last Iron & Wine record. I haven’t heard the new Bonnie “Prince” Billy record yet sooo…

He actually sounds a bit like Anthony Hegarty… Anyway.

I was at the Ida Maria release concert at Blå yesterday. Good – but not as good as one could hope. The songs are too much alike. It sounds a bit like “old news”… yeye… Thursday is a nice day. No Kids and Mount Eerie are playing at Spasibar.

This instrumental tune by Quiet Village is perhaps on of the most beautiful tunes I’ve heard in a long, long time. The repeated and simple string-theme is so tender and arty. This is art. It’s the perfect “morning-after”-tune, and it will keep you calm for the rest of the day.

The ocean-samples is just so fresh and lovely. The rest of the album “Silent Movie” is really good as well.

Lovely! I love this album! It has this really nice vibe. It reminds me of a nice package of Animal Collective, Frog Eyes and Grizzly Bear. It is so beautiful. Atlas Sound is the result of Deerhunters vocalist doing what ever he want.

Isn’t this lovely… A all swedish pop-dish with wonderful guestartists as Lykke Li, Robyn, Neneh Cherry and Tityo. The single With Every Heartbeat with Robyn has been popular for quite some time and it’s a great single. Not all songs are as good as this, but Kleerup’s selftitled album is bound to be a success… You bet. It’ great.

I liked Tapes ‘n Tapes’ last record “The Loon”. I thought they had a refreshing view on “indiemusic”. Their new record “Walk It Off” is something different.

Different, but quite good. Not as good as “The Loon” but still an ok album. It takes a bit more time to “consume” than The Loon since it doesn’t have that many “hit-songs”. So, sometimes boring, sometimes brilliant, sometimes just OK.
